The next time you're near the fragrance department in any store, stop and read the names. You see a little bit of
everything.
Some perfumes and colognes in these stores have a tad of Envy. Some have an Obsession.
Be careful, you may find some Poison. If you don't find what you're looking, you may tend to Covet ( a la Sarah
Jessica Parker). If all else fails, why not just be some one else altogether and put their attributes (good or bad)
on you?
I'm not running a smear campaign. There are pleasant fragrances out there. I just want to
raise awareness of just how careful we must be when choosing what we put on our bodies. We are the children
of God, aren't we?
It a common fact that when choosing fragrances from the shelves, we tend to gravitate toward
those names that we either currently identify with or aspire to be.
So, men and women of God, tell me this.
When is envy ever good? Why should we covet, or even wish to, when the Word clearly states in the Tenth
Commandment, that thou shalt not covet (Exodus 20:17,KJV)?
I'm praying never to be Unforgivable,
but then if I'm Poison, that just may be the case. I could do this all day with bad names and then turn around and give
good names as well. The truth of the matter is...while considering the fragrance, consider the names also.
